4th- 6th graders selected

Westhills Elementary School has created a new Safety Patrol.  Forty students in grades 4-6 were selected for this opportunity because they have shown academic excellence and exemplary behavior in the classroom and throughout the school. These students will be taking an active leadership role in the school. They will be promoting school safety and awareness and serving as positive role models for the rest of the student population. The students will begin duty Sept. 29 at 7:30 A.M.. Safety patrol members that are bus riders will generally have morning duty. Students that are car riders, van riders, or walkers will have afternoon duty. The students will be given their assignments in advance so that parents will be able to make their plans. Each child will be on duty one week at a time.

The students will help or assist in the halls, on the front porch and in the lunchroom. Morning duty is from 7:30- 7:45  and afternoon duty is from 2:45-3:00.
