Observing Plant Germination
Plant Unit

Third grade students are studying Plants using AMSTI resources as well as the textbook

The students began their study by looking at 4 different types of seeds: corn, radish, sunflower, and pintos. To keep the seeds moist, the students sprayed them daily. After about 4 days, the seeds began to germinate. The students compared the seed inside and out. They compared dry and wet seeds. The next step will be to observe the seeds' growth.

This unit will take a semester to complete.
