RIF is working to bring attention to the need to improve the language and literacy development of minority children in this country. Our message is one of optimism. We fully believe that with a greater focus on the development of early childhood literacy in African-American, Hispanic, and Native American communities, more children can get off to a fast start academically and become lifelong readers.

This fun and interactive site offers stories, nursery rhymes, and other activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. It also contains information to help parents and childcare providers develop the language skills of young children.
