Balancing Unit

Continuing their study of balance, students built structures that balance using a beam, a fulcrum and Unifix Cubes. They were reminded to think about a seesaw. Adding or removing weight affects the way the plank or beam balances. They learned that a fulcrum is a support upon which the beam balances. Distance was another factor that affected balance.
