Big Brothers/Big Sisters School-Based Mentoring Program is a huge success in shaping young lives. Westhills is participating in this program for the 5th year. Each mentor from Miles  College is  screened and interviewed by Big Brothers/Big Sisters agency before being placed with the student. The mentor will spend 45-60 minutes weekly with the student. The mentors help students with their academics, social skills, and age development skills. Hopefully, we can extend the program to include more students this year. We have more requests from Westhills students to participate in this program than ever before. Ms. Tameka Askew is the School Base Program Coordinator from Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
