Using a Compass
Science and Social Studies combine to study map and globe skills

The 3rd graders are studying map and globe skills. This is a combination of mapping skills for social studies and using a compass from the AMSTI kit "Globes" . They are learning to find the directions, North, South, East, and West. The students practiced locating the school's US flag and the gym.
