Westhills, in conjunction with the Central Office, the  Special Education Department received a $6600.00 Grandpower grant from UAB. This project will help

 1. empower grandparents to assist school personnel in improving academic achievement 2. provide avenues to address critical health, education, and social needs of grandparents 3. provide the school staff, students, and grandparents with resources and links to improve the overall quality of life. Grandparents will attend 2 meetings per month at the school.
