Westhills' Open House was a big success last night.
Students, Thornton Miller, A'Mya Lewis, and Yaminah Cain led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Jalen Chatman and Ariel Jenkins recited the Mission Statement.
Ms. Bo Floyd, music teacher led the student choir, Adorable Kids, in singing "Seek Ye First". They did a wonderful job.
Mrs. Darlene Perkins, board member was introduced. She congratulated Westhills on making 100% AYP and doing well on the other standardized tests.
Mrs. Shenita Fencher, 5th grade teacher, announced that Westhills will be participating in the National Honor Society for Elementary Schools.
Principal, Mildred Posey introduced the teachers and staff.
The Adorable Kids closed the program with another song.
Everyone was dismissed to the classrooms to visit with the teachers.
The teachers spoke to the parents about general classroom information. They also handed out the Home Reports for SAT, ARMT, and ADAW tests. If you didn't get the report last night, you will receive it with the report cards at the end of the 1st nine weeks.
The parents also visited the library and the resource rooms.
Refreshments were served in the lunchroom after the classroom visits.
