Notes
1. Black History projects are due February 2, 2015.
2. Book Fair begins February 9.
3. Students are asked to bring valentines for their class on or before February 12.
4. Valentine Jam will be held February 12. Admission is $2. Food will be available for purchase.
5. All fathers are asked to attend Father’s Day Breakfast on February 13 at 8AM in the gym.
6. Black History Program will be held February 17 at 9AM. All parents are encouraged to attend.
7. Please support the WES Basketball team and cheerleaders. The games will be held Feb. 10 , 12, 17, 19, 24, and 27th.
8. We will be traveling to the Children’s Hands on Museum and Fire Station in Tuscaloosa in March.
We will be going to Fire Station #1 and McDonalds in Tuscaloosa on March 23, 2015. Field trip money is due on February 20. The cost of the trip is $16. Space is limited so first come, first serve.
Progress Reports will come home soon.
9. Supplies are very low. We are asking each student to send in 2- 12 pack of pencils, and 1-3pack of glue sticks. If everyone brings supplies, this should last us until the end of the year.
10. Fluency goal- 70 words. Please continue to practice fluency every night and review sight word practice.
11. PTA Membership. Please join $6.00 individual/ $10/family
12. Please check agendas each night for daily homework. Students are responsible for writing their homework off the board each day. They will have at least 15 minutes to get homework copied off the board.
13. Download the class dojo app to check on your child’s behavior each day. Please check your email for more information.
14. Don’t forget to collect box tops. Please cut and trim them neatly.
15. Study sight words daily.
