Ms. Floyd taught General Music in the Birmingham School system for 28 years. She brings to Westhills energy, experience, and a love of teaching music.

In 1995, she organized a children's choir (Adorable Kids) in her school. They performed and traveled extensively across the United States and Canada. They travelled internationally to Africa, France, England, and Holland.

Ms. Floyd has written 3 books: "Touches From My Heart to Yours", "Touching and Molding: A Music Teacher's Memoir", and a children's music book, " Adorable Kids, Vol. I".
