Tyese was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. She is a product of the Bessemer City Schools.  Tyese received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education from Alabama A & M University. Her first year teaching was at C.F. Hard Elementary and then she transferred to Westhills Elementary, where she is currently working as a Fourth Grade Teacher.

She is a proud mother of a beautiful daughter named Hailey and a handsome son named Caleb. Tyese's mother once gave her some advice that she now uses in her classroom, as well as her Golden Rule: "If a task has once begun, never leave it til' it's done.  Be thy labor great or small, do it well or not at all."
