I have a total of 28 years teaching experience. I have taught every grade from K-12 and every subject in the curriculum. I have been at Westhills since 1989. I taught one year at Davis Middle School before coming to Westhills. I have also taught at Pleasant Grove High School, Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, Alabama, and Elmore County High School in Eclectic, AL.

My name is Tammy Brand. I was born in Bessemer and raised in Hueytown. I have a husband named Bobby, two stepsons( Bobby Jr. and Jon) and two daughters (Tiffany and Katie). I also have 6 grandchildren, 3 granddaughters (Amanda, Taylor, Bailey) and 3 grandsons (Johnathan, Hunter & Alex). I have taught at Westhills for 20 years. I teach special education resource/inclusion classes and SFA reading. I enjoy reading, using my computer, sewing, and painting. I love Alabama football and Braves baseball. My oldest daughter attends UAB. She plans to teach special education when she graduates from UAB. My youngest daughter Katie loves to dance and attends Brookwood High School. She is in the National Honor Society, the Beta Club, The National Honor Roll, The BADD Club and the French Club.
