Bio

I was born in Birmingham. I live in Pleasant Grove now.

I am married. My husband's name is Mel.

I have 2 sons, Charlie and Sean.

Charlie attends UAB.  He is majoring in history and wants to coach football.

Sean attends Pleasant Grove High School. He is a senior this year. He wants to attend UAB next year.

I have 1 cat named Midnight.

I have been teaching at Westhills School since 1981.

I have worked in the library since 2001. Before that, I taught 4th grade.

My 1st teaching job was in Lamar County at Kennedy High School. I taught 1st and 2nd grade there.

Then I moved to Cartagena, Colombia, South America. I taught at Colegio Jorge Washington for 1 year. I taught 1st grade.

I am active in my church. I teach Sunday School, sing in the choir and work on various committees.

I enjoy reading, traveling, singing,  decorating, cooking, collecting cookbooks,  working on computers, and riding motorcycles with my husband. We have a Honda Goldwing Motorcycle. We have traveled as far south as Orlando on the motorcycle. We have traveled to Tennessee, Georgia, Mississippi, North and South Carolina on the motor. Of course, we have ridden alot around Alabama. We travel in the heat of summer, cold of winter, sun shine or rain. We are prepared for all types of weather!
