Mrs. Simmons, guidance counselor invited the 5th graders to come and hear a guest speak on the topic of character development.  Mrs. Simmons met Mrs. Lynneice Washington at a PINK meeting.

Lynneice Washington, Jefferson County  Assistant District Attorney came to Westhills  Wednesday, Jan. 27. She encouraged them to make wise choices. All choices have consequences, whether positive or negative.

Mrs. Washington is one of the candidates  in the election  for District Attorney.

Westhills students do reports during the month of February for Black History Month.  They research various people and present their information is a variety of forms depending on the grade level.

I included Mrs. Washington's biographical information  at the end of the photographs since she participated in one of our programs for Black History Month.

Thanks Mrs. Washington for taking the time to visit with our 5th graders.
