What Does Your Child Have to Do To Eat Lunch in the Library with the Librarian? Hopefully, your child is excited about reading!! To qualify, the child must read books and take the AR quiz test. Each month, 10 AR points must be earned. The average grade earned must by 80% or higher for the month. If a child chooses 1/2 (0.5) point books, they must read and test on at least 20 books in a month. If they make less than 100% on the test, it may take even more books to reach the goal. They need to keep at least an 80% average. They bring their lunch from the lunchroom into the library. They get to eat in the library. I also have several goodies I add to what they bring. We usually watch a movie while they are eating. They get to stay in the library about an hour. I usually have "Lunch in the Library" on the last Friday of the month.
